CBS DETROIT – It looks like the Detroit Lions will not be landing fullback Henry Hynoski after all.

Hynoski reportedly spent the day at Lions headquarters in Allen Park, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the fullback has inked a one-year, $1 million deal with the New York Giants.

Upon returning from an MCL operation last offseason, Hynoski played only three games for New York in 2013 before going on injured reserve with a fractured shoulder. As a result, Hynoski recorded just one catch in two targets in 2013. The previous year, Hynoski snagged 11 of 15 passes thrown his way, and the year before that, Hynoski caught 12 of 16.

The Lions do not currently have a fullback on the roster.
