CBS DETROIT - Following a collision in Saturday's game, Detroit Pistons forward Andre Drummond will not play Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets and could also miss Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns, according to the writer for the team's website.

Drummond has been the brightest of few bright spots for the Pistons this season, averaging 13.1 points and 12.8 rebounds. Drummond also won MVP for his resounding performance in the Rising Stars Challenge, a game of the NBA's best young talent, in which he scored 30 points and snagged 25 rebounds.

Outside the performance of Drummond, the season has largely disappointed. The year began with a playoffs-or-bust mentality and a new head coach. Now the Pistons have former assistant John Loyer at the helm as the team tries to avoid a fifth straight year of missing the postseason.
