On-Air Meltdown By Ted Leitner Over Security During Game

DETROIT (97.1 THE TICKET) – You’ve really got to pick your moment to make a move. This theme should now resonate clearly with a security guard on hand during a recent game for the San Diego State Aztecs.

Famed broadcaster Ted Leitner was doing play-by-play in the final minute and a half of a one-point championship thriller between the Aztecs and New Mexico when a security guard decided that was the optimal time to get Leitner’s attention and have him move a suitcase.

The request didn’t go over that well.

According to Deadspin.com Leitner went off …  “Unbelievable! These people are unbelievable in this arena. They got security guards, think they’re guarding the Pentagon. […] Stupid! Totally stupid. […] These morons think the terrorists are honing in here on the Mountain West tournament in Las Vegas. ”

New Mexico won the game 64-58.
