DETROIT (WWJ) - Authorities are asking drivers in Michigan to be on the lookout after an Amber Alert was issued in Virginia for an abducted child.

Police say 11-year-old Lucas Ezra Silas Guinn is in extreme danger after being abducted around 11:15 a.m. Thursday from his school in Lebanon, Virginia, most likely by his non-custodial father Jimmy Donald Guinn.

Police say Guinn is a long haul trucker with "Snow Bird Trucking" and he's expected to be making several freight stops Friday. Residents in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Mississippi and Arizona are all on alert, looking for the pair.

Guinn may be traveling in a 2004 purple tractor freightliner with Virginia license plate "78471PY." Investigators say there's a possibility that he may have abandoned the freightliner and could be in a large style burgundy pickup diesel truck instead.

Lucas is described as 4'8" tall and 84 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red and black shirt and blue jeans.

Guinn is described as 5'11" tall and 235 lbs. with brown and gray hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information or who thinks they spot the father-and-son duo should call 911 or contact the Russell County Sheriff's Office at 276-889-8033.
