DETROIT (WWJ) – The Detroit Tigers have announced that fans will face walk-through metal detectors at all Comerica Park entry gates and access points starting with Opening Day 2014.

In addition, all streets around the ballpark will be restricted from any vehicle traffic.

Major League Baseball guidelines now require a screening program be implemented at all MLB ballparks by 2015.

The Tigers recommend ticket holders arrive early to allow ample time for this new security procedure.
