By now you know this 2014 edition of the Detroit Tigers looks a bit different than in years past. There are new faces at second, shortstop and third plus some new arms in the pen, a new left fielder and a rookie manager as well. There has been so much change on this team, that fans could be forced to wonder what the results will be like on the field?
Hours before the teams Opening Day, some of the new faces talked to 97.1 The Ticket about their feelings going into the Detroit holiday.
From Joba Chamberlain being excited to finally be able to grow facial hair to Ian Kinsler admitting that Slow’s BBQ is his favorite restaurant in Detroit, these new Tigers seem ready to make an immediate impact. Even the new skipper Brad Ausmus talked about getting ready for the new season by making sure his new house was ready to be lived in. Ausmus doesn’t do windows or paint but spent some time adjusting other household items yesterday before the opener.
Watch the Chamberlain, Kinsler, Ausmus and Nick Castellanos videos to get to know the newest Tigers a bit and then listen to the home opener on 97.1 FM.
