It is no secret that Gustav Nyquist is having a great season. The 24 year old Red Wing forward has is currently on an amazing tear, scoring 12 goals in his last 10 games. He has 28 goals in just 51 games. How many goals would he have if he did not start the season in Grand Rapids? How many more games would the Red Wings have won if he was in Detroit from day one? That decision still grates at most Red Wing fans and it should.

Nyquist’s electric goal Wednesday night gave the Red Wings a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins and had former NHL’er and current Sportsnet analyst drawing an amazing comparison.

Is this goal as good as the one he had on Sunday?
