2 Arrests Made In The Robbery, Assault Of Dollar Store Clerk

PONTIAC (WWJ) – Two suspects are under arrest for the robbery and beating of a clerk at a dollar store in Waterford Township.

Charged are 26-year-old Kevin Maybee and 32-year-old Crystal Breeding are charged with retail fraud and assault and battery.

The female employee at the Dollar General store told police that she witnessed the two suspects putting store merchandise into a purse and then try to leave without paying.

The employee took the purse from one of the suspects and they left the store – only to return a short time later demanding the purse because a cell phone was inside.

There was a struggle and the suspects eventually left the store.

Police credit tips from the public for the arrests in the robbery.

Maybee and Breeding were granted bond.
