Noise Becoming The New Headache For Folks Around I-96 Construction Project

LIVONIA (CBS DETROIT) – While most of us concentrated on finding a new route to avoid the massive I-96 construction project that will last until the fall … it seems there’s an added element that hadn’t been thought of for surrounding residents; noise. Twenty-four – seven, noise.

MDOT contends that the only way to complete the project in a ‘timely’ manner, six months or so, is to work around the clock.

The schedule is now creating some sleepless nights for surrounding neighbors.

How do you feel about it? Should these folks that live near a freeway just clam-up? They live near a freeway – what do they expect? Is this like complaining about the noise from the train if you live on top of railroad tracks?
