Man Charged In Hit & Run At Detroit Gas Station

DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit man has been charged with running down a man at an area gas station.

Bobby Cochran is facing Assault with Intent to Murder, among several other assault-related offenses, after authorities say he drove his car into a 35-year-old man at the Valero gas station on Tireman Road, earlier this month.

The 39-year-old Cochran was approached by his would-be victim and accused of following the victim's girlfriend around. That's when Cochran allegedly ran the man down. The victim's girlfriend was able to dive out of the way. Cochran then sped away, but was later picked up by police. The victim remains hospitalized.
