UPDATE - 4:30 p.m.:  It's a happy ending. Thanks to this story on WWJ and CBSDetroit.com, the owner of the ring has come forward!

WEST BLOOMFIELD (WWJ) - "To Tim; From Anita — I Will Always Love You."

That's the romantic message engraved inside on a wedding band awaiting its rightful owner under lock and key at Beaumont Hospital.

Beaumont Greeter Michele Gawecki says the ring was found some time at the end of February or in early March at the Beaumont location   between Orchard Lake and Maple in West Bloomfield.

"Somebody was in the restroom or something, and whenever they find something they always bring it to us," Gawecki told WWJ's Kathryn Larson.

Employees hoped to hold it for its rightful owner, but the days turned into weeks, and weeks now to months without someone would coming back to claim the ring.

It's white gold band with roped yellow gold detail, and there is more written in it, and Gawecki says only the owner will know. "You need, like, bifocals to look at it," she said.

Gawecki is certain the ring, which is presumably a wedding band, has a lot of sentimental value to someone.

If this is your ring, you can directly to Beaumont in West Bloomfield to pick it up; or send an email to sandywilliamson@kirco.com.
