Bond Set For Man Charged In Assault Of Police Dog

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) – A Detroit man is being held on a $75,000 bond after allegedly assaulting a police dog.

Authorities say they tried to pull the suspect over in St. Clair Shores for defective equipment on his vehicle on Wednesday.

The suspect took off … and ended up hiding in some bushes in Roseville.

The suspect then punched and choked the dog. Officials say the canine cop is unharmed.
