App Of The Week: Piano Maestro

Forget hours on the bench with a straight-backed teacher rapping knuckles with a ruler — now piano lessons have gone virtual!

There’s a great visual music education app that’s trending now.

JoyTunes has just released Piano Maestro (formerly Piano Mania) and the app is already No. 1 in education apps. Piano Maestro allows users to practice the piano with their smartphone or tablet—no wires required. They can use a real piano too!

The game-like atmosphere makes learning to play the piano fun too. Kids can earn skill points and unlock new songs to learn. Let me know if I can provide more info on Piano Maestro. Great visuals all around!
