Large Hole Opens At Rouge River Bridge - Halting Traffic

DETROIT (WWJ) - A large hole has opened up .... causing some big backups along southbound I-75 near the Rouge River Bridge.

WWJ's Lance Howard is watching repairs being made from Chopper 950.

"That work crew is blocking the two right lanes southbound on the Rouge River Bridge just south of Springwells as you start climb the bridge - there is a large hole - we are probably looking at a five, six feet wide hole right through the bridge deck and that's what the crews are working on ... traffic backing up from downtown near the Lodge Freeway," reports Howard.
