DETROIT (WWJ) – There are changes on the way in Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan’s administration.
Alexis Wiley, a former TV reporter and currently the mayor’s spokesperson, is becoming Chief of Staff. Sources tell WWJ Newsradio 950 that means current Chief of Staff Lisa Howse will be taking on a new role as the full-time governmental affairs person, representing Duggan and the mayor’s office in Lansing. The administration says the relationship between Lansing and Detroit are more important now than ever.
Howze, a former State Representative, was once Duggan’s opponent in the race for the city’s mayor; but when she did not make it through the primary, she put her support behind Duggan.
