Ferndale Schools Locked Down Until Police Nab Suspects

FERNDALE (WWJ) Things returned to normal Friday afternoon at Ferndale High School and Middle School, after a lock down following a burglary in the area

Ferndale Police Lt. Bill Wilson said a suspect was arrested shortly before noon near 8 Mile and Pinecrest after a foot chase. Police say two other suspects were taken into custody earlier after they were caught allegedly trying to break into a house near the schools.

The third suspect managed to escape briefly before he was recaptured. Police believe the suspect was unarmed, and no one was hurt.
