FLINT (WWJ) – One Michigan pet rescue organization is sending out an urgent plea for help.

Pets In Peril a non-profit rescue based in Flint consists of seven women and one man who rescue neglected and abused dogs from the neediest areas of Flint.

Edith Campbell, who has always loved pit bulls, is founder of the organization and says they desperately need temporary foster homes for these animals.

“We provide medical care … we just want a temporary home so we can take the dog on the weekend and to show them and have their pictures online so these foster homes are really important but we don’t have enough so we can’t even take dogs in right now,” said Campbell.

Not content to retire quietly after her time with Buick, Campbell started volunteering at PAWS Animal Rescue. The 501(c) 3 nonprofit, which is a no-kill rescue organization, began in 1997, providing care for abused, neglected and abandoned animals.

For more information or to find out how you can foster an animal in need you can contact Edith Campbell at 810-767-6366 or email edithwriter@aol.com … find more on Facebook HERE.
