PEGGY FENWICK: Founder and principal of Markit Strategies and PR in Canton. Launched in 2005, Markit Strategies serves automotive, manufacturing, and technology clients. Fenwick created and expanded the virtual agency, which has more than a dozen employees, designed around a distributed workforce that uses technology to build programs and services for its clients. Recently, the agency has added three new technology clients and another employee. Markit also has expanded into additional services this year, including live and animated video, interactive experiences, desktop and mobile applications, and gaming capabilities. Markit Strategies and PR has been awarded the IABC Renaissance Award 12 times for its work supporting the marketing program of its former client Plex Systems, which was purchased by a California company last year. Markit also received the B2 Award of Excellence from the Business Marketing Association for the same work. Fenwick oversees strategic communications planning, marketing communications, content marketing, analyst relations, and program development planning for technology giants as well as start-ups.
