Tigers starter Max Scherzer has already accomplished a lot in his career. He made it to the majors, he won a Cy Young award and he’s in line to get one of the richest contracts in baseball history when he becomes a free agent after this season.

Scherzer was featured in a USA Today Crossword puzzle.

Scherzer was elated to be in the puzzle saying “yeah that was pretty cool to see, not too many times are you in a crossword puzzle, so I thought I would give my opinion on what the answer should be.”

The hint was; Max Scherzer’s Pride? It’s a 3 letter answer. Scherzer knew it right away as he tweeted the following out…

Oh… one more thing… in case you were wondering, Scherzer was not consulted by the crossword puzzle people about the hint or the answer.
