Police: Teen Killed In Drive-By Shooting

DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit police say a 19-year-old man was apparently killed in a drive-by shooting.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. Monday outside of a home in the 8800 block of Plainview, near Joy and Evergreen roads on the city’s west side.

Police responded to the scene after receiving a report of shots fired and found the man lying in the driveway with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Detroit police spokesperson Adam Madera said they’re yet not sure of a motive and they don’t have anyone in custody.

An investigation is ongoing.
