The worst thing that could happen in a reporter’s world would be their computer breaking as they were covering an event — and that’s exactly what happened last night as the Cincinnati Reds took on the San Francisco Giants.

In the top half of the eighth innning, Pablo Sandoval hit a foul ball that went straight back into the press box. As the camera panned up to the press box you could see one reporter just down and out while the others were gathered around snickering.

Mark Sheldon, the reporter whose computer was smashed by Sandoval, tweeted out a photo of his now broken computer.

I wonder what the odds are of a ball entering the press box like that? I have seen it happen once in my ten years working for WXYT.
