MARION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a woman was run over by a truck and officers responded to fights during a mud bogging event in Livingston County.

Police first were dispatched to Marion Township on Saturday night because of a fight. The Livingston County Daily Press & Argus of Howell and WHMI-FM report that after the fight police were told the 28-year-old Pinckney woman was run over by a pickup.

Authorities say the 25-year-old Howell man who was driving the truck could face charges. The woman was taken to a hospital. Separately, Livingston County sheriff's deputies responded to a hospital in Howell following a fight at the mud bogging event.

Authorities say the event about 45 miles northwest of Detroit is believed to have attracted more than 1,000 after word of it spread online.
