Additional Charges Of Indecent Exposure Levied Against Detroit Man

DETROIT (WWJ) - Six additional charges of indecent exposure have been brought against a 39-year old Detroit man accused of repeatedly exposing himself to young girls in the city.

The seven children, ranging in age from 11-to-15 took the witness stand Tuesday against Mario James in Detroit's 36th District Court.

Court testimony by victims stated that James would expose himself to the child or children when they were walking to or from school.

Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Jennifer Tink questioned witnesses during the hearing:

Prosecutor: What happened when the car pulled up next to you?

Young Girl: He asked me ----- (indecent)

Prosecutor: Did you say anything in response to that?

Young Girl: No, I kept going.

Prosecutor: Alright, and did anything happen after you kept going?

Young Girl: I started walking faster and he pulled back up and he asked 'did I want to get in the car?'

Prosecutor: And did you get in the car?

Young Girl: No.

Another young girl described James as wearing a black shirt and nothing else.

Judge Michael Wagner found the girls' testimony to be credible and bound James over on multiple charges of indecent exposure ... remanding him back to the Wayne County Jail.
