DETROIT – Detroit Red Wings Executive Vice President/General Manager Ken Holland today announced that the Red Wings will once again host their annual NHL Prospects Tournament and Training Camp at the Centre ICE Arena in Traverse City, Mich., along with a Training Camp Alumni and Celebrity Game and the 15th Annual Training Camp Golf Classic.

The NHL Prospects Tournament will return to Traverse City for the 16th season, running from Friday, Sept. 12 through Tuesday, Sept. 16. The eight-team tournament will include the Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues. Over the tournament’s history, 440 players have gone on to skate in at least one NHL game, including six who skated with the Red Wings during the 2013-14 season: Tomas Jurco, Alexey Marchenko, Xavier Ouellet, Teemu Pulkkinen, Riley Sheahan and Ryan Sproul.

The Red Wings will open their annual NHL Training Camp with the 16th Training Camp Golf Classic, presented by Eitel Dahm Motor Group, on Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. Proceeds from the tournament benefit Involved Citizens Enterprises (I.C.E.), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing affordable skating programs to Northern Michigan.

The 2014-15 Red Wings hit the ice for the first time the morning of Friday, Sept. 19, and continue daily through Tuesday, Sept. 23. The Training Camp Alumni and Celebrity Game will also return for a second straight season, taking place on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 7:00 p.m. Complete rosters will be announced at a later date. Last year’s game included general manager Ken Holland, head coach Mike Babcock, current FOX Sports Detroit color analyst and former 50-goal scorer Mickey Redmond, 2013 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Chris Chelios and four-time Stanley Cup champions Kris Draper and Kirk Maltby.

Tickets for all September events go on sale at Centre ICE Arena on Monday, July 7 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Ticket prices for practice sessions are $10 for standing-room only, $15 for reserved seating and $20 for the mezzanine. Tickets for the Red and White Game and Training Camp Alumni and Celebrity Game will start at $20 for standing-room only, $25 for reserved seating and $30 for the mezzanine. Select 2014 training camp merchandise will also be available for purchase.
