Rookie hazing in Major League Baseball isn’t as intense as the NFL, but boy o’ boy did Chicago White Sox pitcher Chris Sale pull a great prank.
During a postgame interview, Sale wore a blank white truckers, hat with rookie Scott Carroll’s phone number on it. I think this may be one of the better pranks. Even if people blew up his phone, he has enough money to get a new number or phone or both.
This also trumps what the Tigers did when they made their rookies wear a pink backpack in past years.
Is this taking the prank game a little too far?
