Miracle Treat Day Supports Student Heart Check Program
Metro Detroit will be hit with a rare summer blizzard on Thursday, August 14 – it’s Dairy Queen® Miracle Treat Day to benefit Children’s Miracle Network kids at Beaumont Children’s Hospital and the 97.1 The Ticket Student Heart Check Program.
More specifically, it will be a day of Dairy Queen® Blizzard® Treats to benefit area children. You’re invited to visit a participating Dairy Queen store and enjoy a cold, refreshing ice cream treat that will help raise funds for services and equipment for hospitalized children at Beaumont Children’s Hospital. Participating Dairy Queens in Metro Detroit will donate proceeds from the sale of each Blizzard® Treat sold that day to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Southeast Michigan’s representative, Beaumont Children’s Hospital.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a national charity that works with 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada. The group ensures that when a donation is made, it stays in the local community, so that every dollar given goes to help local kids.
Miracle Treat Day 2013 helped raise more than $5.5 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in local communities throughout the United States and Canada. The Dairy Queen system is one of the top 10 contributors to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raising $100 million since 1984.
Whatever Blizzard you choose, you can do so knowing it helps local hospitalized children. For more information about Miracle Treat Day including participating locations in Metro Detroit, click here
