75-Year-Old Gunman Surrenders After Barricaded Standoff With Police

CLAY TOWNSHIP (WWJ) — After a two-hour standoff, police apprehended a barricaded gunman in Clay Township.

Police said that the incident happened in the Marsh area near Colony Dr. and Palms Rd.

Investigators said that a 75-year-old male suspect with a reported automatic weapon surrendered without incident. The gunman was taken into custody a short time later.

Police said that there were no hostages and no injuries.
