ROYAL OAK (WWJ) – A 20-year-old Royal Oak man is facing charges after police say he pulled down his shorts and exposed himself to women while driving.

According to Royal Oak police, Bradley James Beckett was driving his silver Ford Focus in the area of 13 Mile and Rochester Road last Thursday night when he flashed a young lady who was driving alongside his vehicle.

The woman called police, providing a description of Beckett and his car, including his license plate number.

That information led officers to Beckett’s Royal Oak home where he was arrested.

According to police, a followup investigation by Royal Oak detectives linked Beckett to a similar incident that occurred at 13 Mile and Woodward Ave. the previous day.

Beckett was arrested, charged with two counts of indecent exposure, and arraigned Friday in 44th District Court where a judge set bond at $500 for each count.

Beckett, who police say does not have a criminal record, is due back in court for a hearing on July 25. He faces up to one year in prison if convicted on each charge.

Anyone with information regarding additional incidents is asked to contact Sgt. Keith Spencer at 248-246-3528.
