‘Walk Like MADD’ Goes To Where The Wild Things Are For Aug. 2 Event

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) – Walk Like MADD is the signature fundraising event to help MADD raise both awareness and funds to eliminate drunk driving.

WWJ Newsradio 950 Anchor Brooke Allen along with Reporter/Producer Chrystal Knight will be emceeing the event.

Last year, tens of thousands of people in over 60 cities across the nation participated, and together, we raised almost 3 million dollars to provide our programs and services at no cost.

This year the event will take place at the Detroit Zoo on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014.

With every step taken and each dollar raised, walkers are supporting MADD’s lifesaving mission to keep our families and communities safe.

There’s even a MADD Dash!

Several Walk Like MADD events have implemented a 5K fun-run.

The WWJ Newsbeats are one of several teams walking to raise awareness and funds for MADD – find out how to donate or participate in the walk [HERE].
