Michael Jordan Is "Cool" With LeBron James Wearing 23 With Cleveland

Picking a number is rarely newsworthy -- unless of course you call yourself "King" James. LeBron James announced yesterday via his Twitter account that he would be wearing the number 23 instead of the number six.

I really can't believe he didn't change his number so Nike and the Cavs can make a ton of cash off the new jersey. Instead James took 23 like he wore his first seven seasons -- all spent with the Cavs.

LeBron changed his number to six when he joined the Miami Heat and thought the number 23 should be retired. "I just think what Michael Jordan has done for the game has to be recognized some way soon," said James.

Now that James has chosen 23, Michael Jordan was asked about LeBron wearing the number according to ESPN.com.

"I'm cool with it,'' Jordan told ESPN.com via text message Monday morning. "I don't own a number.''

I can't help but think of the classic line from the movie "We're the Millers" in the scene where they try to explain the name of baby LeBron. Is the baby French? No. "The missus here has a real soft spot for prima donnas who'll never be as good as Jordan," Jason Sudekis says.
