Free Dental Services Available This Saturday

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - There's a way for people who can't afford dental care to get some important services for free this weekend.

It's one of the first services people sacrifice when money's tight, but more and more research says, dental health is critical to overall health.

That's why Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Farmington Hills is hosting a "Free Dental Care Day" on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The free care will be on a first come, first serve basis.

You have to be 18 and you can have a filling, a cleaning or an extraction.

Dr. Aaron Ruskin says the day is designed to give patients in need more than just one day of help.

"We've collected a log of numbers and addresses for clincs all over the state that we can kind of guide these people to once we've seen their need, and triage them to those specific clinics," Ruskin said.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associate is located in Farmington Hills at 12 Mile and Farmington.

The doctors hope to be able to see at least 150 people.
