CBS DETROIT – Sophomore wide receiver Csont’e York has been suspended indefinitely for failing to meet team standards and will not report for fall camp, the Michigan athletic department announced in a press release Sunday afternoon.

“We demand that every person in our program represent the University of Michigan and the Michigan football program the right way on and off the field,” Michigan head coach Brady Hoke stated in the release. “When people fall short of that, there are consequences.”

Ann Arbor police confirmed to The Ann Arbor News on Sunday that York is the subject of a current ongoing police investigation. York had not been charged with any crime as of Sunday reported MLive.

York, a native of Harper Woods, Mich., appeared in one game last season.
