DETROIT (CBS Detroit) – Brian and Tia Krawczyk hope bring their twist on Polish cuisine to Hamtramck in the 2014 Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest presented by the Detroit Lions.

The Krawczyk’s plan to open Bumbo’s, a bar with a modern twist on Polish cuisine, was one of 10 semi-finalists announced in the competition to win a $50,000 grant from Comerica Bank and legal, marketing, accounting and IT support from Hatch Detroit.

According to event organizers, Bumbo’s will offer “new twists on classics such as pierogi and kopytka, unique takes on other non-Polish dishes utilizing fresh ingredients typical of Polish fare, and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.”
