Unconscious Woman Rescued From Stalled Vehicle In Warren

WARREN (WWJ) -- Reports have surfaced that an unconscious woman was pulled from a stalled vehicle at 13 Mile and Van Dyke in Warren on Monday evening due to flooded streets.

The Warren Fire Department responded to a 911 call and rescued the woman. She was resuscitated and taken to an area hospital for treatment. She did not suffer any life threatening injuries.

Warren Police did not respond, it was strictly a Fire Department situation.Warren Major Jim Fouts has confirmed with WWJ that many people are still stranded in their vehicles at the same corner of 13 Mile and Van Dyke as of midnight.

Police are dealing with the aftermath of major flooding throughout the Metro Detroit area after torrential storms dropped almost five inches of rain in just a few hours.
