Generally speaking, it’s considered a good thing when you simply don’t notice a game official. It means they didn’t do anything in particular to cause controversy, mess up a call, or draw attention to themselves. When you don’t notice or think about an official, it’s a sign that the game ran smoothly and there weren’t any major complaints.
Well, here’s yet another example of the contrary. This time, it’s a Little League umpire taking over the spotlight by showing off some dance moves behind home plate.
One thing important to note is that this Little League game is in the Bahamas.
Clearly, the umpire is enjoying life, happy to be outdoors, and getting his groove on in between pitches. It’s a funny change of pace attitude from the typical “grumpy” attitude that most umpires seem to have.
