(97.1 The Ticket) — You would think that the Detroit Tigers could properly celebrate the career of one of the most decorated players to ever put on the Old English D.

They tried, and failed.

Friday was Miguel Cabrera Boblehead Night at Comerica Park. Now, most of the time, the figures don’t really resemble the players very much, but this time it went too far. The figurine has Cabrera holding one of his famed MVP awards, only the trophy reads “National League MVP.”

With this and the misspelled Troy Tulowitzki jerseys, you have to wonder if teams are doing this on purpose to create a batch of hot collectors items.
