Renovations Close People Mover’s Grand Circus Park Station Until 2015

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) – The Detroit People Mover’s Grand Circus Park station is closed and will stay that way until early January of next year. The station is closed to undergo a major renovation project that coincides with restoration of the David Whitney Building.

During construction, riders have the option of using two other People Mover stations in the area —Times Square to the west of Woodward, or Broadway to the east of Woodward.

Once completed, the new station will feature independent ADA-accessibility from Washington Boulevard directly to the station platform.
