Drive-By Shooting Leaves 5-Year-Old In Temporary Serious Condition
DETROIT (WWJ) - A drive-by shooting in Sunday night injured a young girl.
Police said a 5-year-old girl was the victim of an apparent drive-by shooting on Detroit's east side.
The incident happened just before midnight on Alcoy, near Gratiot and East McNichols.
The little girl was in the car with her parents when someone fired at their vehicle, police said. The child was grazed in the neck.
She was in the hospital — listed in temporary serious condition Monday morning. Her identity has not been released.
Detroit police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact them.
