Pair Of Injury Accidents Shuts Down 12 Mile Road In Warren

WARREN (WWJ) - Police say a pair of injury accidents was to blame for traffic backups in Warren Wednesday.

Twelve Mile Road was closed at Mound Road in Warren due to the accidents, which were unrelated.

Police talking to WWJ Newsradio 950 said several construction workers were in one of the vehicles involved in one of the crashes, but they had not been working on the road at the time of the accident.

One of the crashes happen on Mound northbound; and the other on Mound southbound at 12 Mile Road.  Police remained on the scene, but the roadway was reopened in both directions shortly after 2 p.m.

It was not initially clear how many people were hurt — but police said none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
