Jimmy Howard’s New Mask Debuts At Red Wings Captain’s Practice

Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard smiled for the camera wearing his brand new mask at captain’s practice Friday, August 29.

The photo shows Howard’s number 35 on the chin, an olde English D on the forehead, red feathers and the year the team was founded, 1926.

Howard has worked with Bishop designs in the past for his custom paint jobs. This mysterious video posted to Bishop’s Facebook page shows a piece of the mask being painted.

Another ambiguous Tweet from Bishop’s account shows the same olde English D.
