Big Brother Season 16 Episode 34 Recap: Team America's Rat

It isn't Frankie and let's be honest a lot of you were thinking it right? But the real rat is a fictitious one created for a mission given to Frankie and Derrick to complete. As the house starts to dwindle it seems as though it gets tougher to put together segments to keep it interesting. Victoria had a segment talking about how awesome she has been doing in this game by using her social skills ask well as her competitive competition skills. Naive Victoria you're a floater and the sooner you realize it, the sooner we can see you having a Britney moment from season 11 when the Four Horsemen only used her until she was to be disposed. POV was featured tonight and more paranoia was ensued with the pending event to occur with the "BB Rewind,' with the houseguests. Tonight's episode will be great but let's recap last night's episode and get caught up with what's been going on in the house.

Button Paranoia

With nominations in place, it seems as though Victoria is still the target for this week. Caleb however admits to Cody that he thought about changing his vote this week to keep Victoria and vote our Cody guaranteeing himself, Frankie and Derrick into the final two. This worried Cody a little bit for the fact that Caleb considered it and regrets not getting the chance to get rid of Frankie earlier in the game. Meanwhile Derrick continues to not get considered as a target and has been playing a nearly flawless game. However it will be interesting to see if he makes it to the finale how he explains how he got there.

The countdown continues with the mysterious button the houseguest pressed, which to the viewers already know that it's for the first "BB Rewind," where an entire week of Big Brother is reset for the week and everything that has transpired matters and a weeks worth of game play will be done during the supposed live eviction night. Which I'm sure the houseguests will be surprised to find out about tonight when they see the countdown of the button finally end. However for Cody and Caleb doing some karate chops to the button and taunting it would somehow make it speak or do something. It would have been great if we saw those in the jury taunt them for pressing the button or tease the houseguests about what they just did to add more fuel to the paranoia. Some of the houseguests think it will be a positive, while others see this as a negative and all agree it will be a game changer.

Circus Freak show POV

With only five players remaining, everyone was eligible to compete in the POV competition. But the competition was an individual challenge and each of the houseguests were separated from each other until the competition started and ended. One by one each of the houseguests made their way to the backyard to see a Circus themed POV. For the Big Brother fans knew that we would soon see a face morph challenge and last night's competition was just that. A "Circus Freak Show," of all the faces of the houseguests this season mixed with two other houseguests and who ever could correctly guess all three houseguests in each photo in the shortest amount of time would win the POV. Victoria being a photographer said she would be great at this competition, she ended up with the slowest time. Cody was also not as quick having the second slowest time. Caleb made a great run but had one too many errors during his go around leaving him with the third slowest time. It was down to Derrick and Frankie, while both made some errors as well, it was less than a minute difference between the two. In the end Frankie came out victorious earning him his third win in a row and ninth overall competition victory. Which Derrick stated as well as Frankie realized painted a huge target himself. But Frankie could only be a little arrogant in saying that his own alliance had the chance to get rid of him, however he's still in the house and dominating the game. Little does Frankie know he'll have to earn his safety again this week and his actions this week have spoken volumes. So if Frankie wants to ensure his safety he'll have fight even more to stay in the game and not be sent to jury.

Rat Patrol

Team America received another mission. It's a bit ironic that the mission involved a rat, but not in the form of a manipulative houseguest. Also it's ironic the mission came after the houseguests spent hours cleaning the Big Brother house, after the surprise guest of the now newly engaged couple, Jeff Schroeder & Jordan Lloyd, said the house smelled and wasn't cleanly. So Derrick informed Frankie of their task at hand and made a plan on when they would complete it. The mission was to keep the houseguests up all night to be on a rodent watch. As mentioned by Derrick the houseguests usually start going to bed around one, which would mean that would be the perfect opportunity to create the panic of a mouse/rat in the house. While Frankie, Derrick and Victoria were in the kitchen, Frankie went to get something out of the pantry and with his Broadway performance skills in use, acted as if he saw a rat scurry. Derrick being an undercover cop used his own acting skills to go along with Frankie's accusation of a rodent in the house. Which made Victoria, Caleb and Cody all panicked. Of course Beast Mode Cowboy Caleb would want to make sure this rodent was out of the house, while Cody is not a fan of rodents and was freaking out. So it seemed very clear this mission would be a success and a success it was as Derrick and Frankie managed to keep all the houseguests up and on "Rat Patrol," for the night.

My Prediction for BB Rewind & HOH

Even though Frankie decided not to target Caleb or Derrick and kept his nominations the same. None of it will matter as the countdown will end tonight and Julie announces the twist of "BB Rewind." Also Dan Gheesling is making a special appearance so that can only mean he'll be a host for a game or maybe he'll be visiting the jury. Either way it'll be great to see another Michigander on the show and one who has won the game and almost won a second time in the Big Brother house! This "BB Rewind," will be a great test of the remaining houseguests in their fight to stay in the game as well as hopefully make a big move, mainly getting Frankie evicted or maybe even Cody, Caleb or Derrick.

I predict for the "BB Rewind" by some fate, Victoria will win the competition, however I'm not as delusion as she is since Victoria assumes she's a beast at this game. So I really predict that Caleb will win as the new HOH. Then putting up Cody and Victoria. Derrick winning POV and using it to save Cody meaning Frankie will be put on the block and then sent to jury. I wouldn't be surprised if Frankie has a fire lit under him and wins all the competitions but instead of going after Victoria going after Caleb or Cody. Knowing Derrick he'll somehow yet again not be nominated and sail by. However I would love to see Derrick in the hot seat. But once the night is done they're will be another new HOH that will need to be crowned and that will be hard to predict.

Tune in tonight for the Live Eviction, but first a "BB Rewind," taking place before the live eviction, a visit to the jury house, a special appearance from Dan Gheesling and another week closer to the finale. It all starts at 8pm on CBS Detroit 62! I can't wait to watch!
