Check Out Detroit's Innovative Businesses At NewCo

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - Nearly  60 of Detroit's most innovative companies will open their doors Thursday for the NewCo Festival.

A wide variety businesses, non-profits, start-ups and schools will welcome entrepreneurs, businesses, students and others to hear the one-hour presentations and tours at the locations throughout the city.

Events start at 9 a.m. Thursday, and continue throughout the day, with the last presentation starting at 4:30 p.m.

This is the second year for the festival, and includes some new locations including:

• Arts & Scraps
• Detroit's Dangerously Delicious Pies
• Focus: Hope
• Girl Develop It
• Good Cakes and Bakes
• Lots of Love Detroit
• Roasting Plant
• The Michigan Urban Farming Initiative
