The accident happened around 6 a.m. Monday on Hoover Road between Toepfer and 9 Mile roads.

According to police, the victim was sitting in the back seat of a Toyota Camry, which was occupied by three other females, when the vehicle was struck by a red, older-model Jeep. All four women were transported to the hospital, where one was pronounced dead. Her name has not yet been released.
