Big Brother Season 16 Episode 37 Recap: Frankie Takes A Bow

"It's official," as Julie Chen would say, they've renewed Big Brother for another season, as they announced during one of the commercial breaks that they are searching for next season's cast. However many Big Brother Fans (including myself) have speculated a possible return of All-Stars. One thing is for sure, if you're a die-hard Big Brother fan, start working on your submission video or patiently wait until they announce casting calls for next season's Big Brother! Meanwhile, this season is starting to come to a close with only THREE episodes left, we were down to the final five and after tonight's episode it will be the final four. However by the end of this week, we will know who the final two will be. Let me recap last night's episode for you.

Caleb's Big Mouth

After the nomination ceremony, Frankie clearly felt blindsided by his own alliance. Frankie was hoping Caleb would just follow his nominations from his reign before the "BB Rewind," but Caleb set forth his own plan. However the plan was Derrick's as he wanted to ensure Cody and himself was safe. Frankie was flabbergasted that Derrick had dodged another nomination. Which is impressive on Derrick's part because he may be the first Big Brother contestant to make the finale and never been nominated. Derrick's clearly still playing the game, but Caleb can't seem to keep his mouth shut. In no surprise, when Frankie drilled Caleb. At first Caleb continued with the plan that Derrick coached him on, but as time continued, Frankie pressed and Caleb slipped up. It surprises me how these houseguests try and say they want to play loyal, but loyalty should be thrown out the door because at the end of the day there will only be one winner. Frankie knows he's a huge threat, but knowing he's a huge threat should be a compliment. Frankie's only hope of survival would be to win POV to ensure his safety for the week.

Cody Dominates POV

Knowing the POV will be a "face morphing" competition; the houseguests were given the opportunity to study the faces on the memory wall with all the houseguests. It would have been great if "Big Brother," only gave them a limited time to see the faces. But that would be interfering and the houseguests took the opportunity to study everyone's faces. For the "Circus Freakshow," POV competition there was a little twist. The time would be shown of the last houseguest that went with the fastest time and the goal was to finish before time ran out. Also in the final face morph, the houseguests had to correctly put six houseguests as oppose to three.

Cody was up first and he set the bar really high. Going into the competition it was assumed that Frankie would be the one to beat since he had an impressive time of being under 6 minutes and 24 seconds ahead of Derrick. But Cody's mission for the week was to make sure Frankie was going out the door. Cody seemed to cruise that competition and finished with a time of 2:21 seconds. Then Caleb was up next and the only impressive thing he did was the flip as he entered the backyard. Beast Mode Cowboy completely forgot to turn off the lights from his first guess after he was successful and moved to the second face morph. Which caused him to gain time and eventually was unable to beat Cody's time. Victoria with all her might tried to win the POV to save herself but without the crutch of someone just handing her the veto was unsuccessful. Frankie was next and was surprised by the time. Frankie lost his stamina when he got stumped by one of the face morphs and ultimately eliminated himself. Lastly Derrick was up and assumed Frankie put up the impressive time of 2:21. It was history repeating itself as Derrick was only seconds from winning when he ran out of time. As the other houseguests returned to backyard, Derrick assumed Frankie won the POV, but it was his alliance member of "The Hitmen," Cody that was triumphant. At the POV ceremony it was clear Frankie was out of moves. Cody clearly wasn't going to use POV and left the nominees that same.

Frankie Shines On & Derrick Wins HOH

Frankie Grande, the 31-year-old YouTube Personality and Big Brother to pop singer Ariana Grande was evicted from the Big Brother house. Of course leaving in a dramatic way, gave a pep talk to the final four, poured glitter as he exited the Big Brother house as he saw the audience and greeted Julie Chen. Frankie's interview with Julie was reflective and had no hard feels with those remaining in the house. Frankie even tried to pry information from the outside world and Julie vaguely gave some info about how his sister is doing. But now the remaining Team America member standing in the house is the same person who evicted the other two, Derrick.

During the show Dan said it best about the HOH comp,

At the start it seemed as though Victoria was doing well and that quickly vanished as she stumbled after a couple of questions. Which left Cody in the lead however in the final question, Derrick who was behind caught up with his "The Hitmen," alliance member and both guys went to a tie breaker question. In the end, Derrick was closest to the correct number and was crowned the new HOH as the episode was coming to a close. Team America is now gone, but there is one last "mission," you could say. If Derrick makes it to the final two and wins Big Brother, he'll receive an additional $50,000. It was also offered to Frankie before his eviction.

My Vote For America's Favorite Houseguest

It was announced that we have the chance to vote again for our America's Favorite Houseguest. The winner will receive $25,000. Out of all the houseguests, its clear America's Favorite Houseguest is the Groundskeeper and "The Beard," Donny Thompson. So that's who my vote is going to Donny because he was just a good, honest and funny guy. Donny is a "super fan" of the show and played the game to the best of his abilities. A close second I would say would be Zach. Even though Zach was loud, crazy and tried to be the villain, he definitely won America over. Frankie may also be in the running but again my vote is for Donny.

My Prediction for Nominations, POV & Eviction

Caleb and Victoria will obviously be nominated. It would be surprising if Derrick nominates both Caleb and Cody. But the target is clearly going to be Caleb. Especially with the final HOH looming, there will be a physical and mental competition, so it will be way too risky for Derrick's game to keep Caleb. Hopefully Caleb will realize this and unless he wins POV he'll be going out the door. I suspect Caleb to win POV and then seeing Victoria go out the door. However I would be surprised if Caleb voted to evict Cody and saving Victoria. But Derrick is clearly in the ear of the remaining houseguests.

We'll have to tune in and watch tonight at 8pm on CBS Detroit 62 to see who will be nominated, who wins POV and who will the next houseguest will be evicted. Next Wednesday is the finale and we will soon know who this season's winner will be!
