Tips Sought To ID Man Caught On Camera In Hungry Howies Holdup

WATERFORD (WWJ) - Investigators are asking for the public's help to find a man who tried to rob a metro Detroit Hungry Howies.

According to police, the crime occurred at 9:07 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, on the 3000 block of Highland Road in Waterford.

A 36-year-old female employee pizza shop told responding offices the suspect entered the store, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at her and demanded cash from the register.

When she told the suspect she couldn't open the register, the gunman left without any money and was last seen running south from the business.

The suspect is described as a white male around 6 feet tall. He was wearing a red, black and white striped hoodie sweatshirt, dark shots and a bandanna. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if spotted.

His image was captured on security camera footage.
