Pavel Datsyuk Out With Separated Shoulder

CBS DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings missed star center Pavel Datsyuk for much of last season, and they will be missing him again for the next several weeks, the team announced Wednesday.
Red Wings general manager Ken Holland told ESPN that a separated shoulder will sideline Datsyuk for about four weeks.
"The good news is, two weeks of the healing process is going to be during preseason," Holland said to ESPN. "So half his time will be during training camp. That's at least good."
In the 2013-2014 season, Datsyuk, 36, played in 45 games for the Red Wings, the fewest games he has played in any season in his career. Datsyuk recorded 17 goals and 20 assists last season, and his total of 37 points was his lowest total since the 2001-2002 season.
