Microsoft Expected To Preview Windows 9

By Edward Cardenas

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - Microsoft is expected preview the new version of the Windows operating system Tuesday at an event in San Francisco.

Members of the media were invited to "hear about what's next for Windows and the enterprise," according to a report by The Verge.

The story added that unlike Apple's recent big product event, where a new iPhone and Apple Watch were released, this event will just be an update on the next version of Windows.

Additionally, this new operating system isn't expected to reach the market until early 2015, CNET reports.

This new operating system, which is currently code-named Threshold, is expected to feature a return of a start menu, removal of the Charms bar, virtual desktops and a better compatibility with mice and keyboards, according to a story by ZDNET.
