Suh Dismisses Report About Leaving Detroit, Focuses on Buffalo [VIDEO]

ALLEN PARK (97.1 The Ticket) -- As expected, Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was questioned about a report that surfaced over the weekend which suggested Suh and the Lions are prepared to part ways after the season is over.

And as was also expected, Suh refused to answer any questions about the report, or even acknowledge that the report existed.

"I can not address that just for the simple fact that I have not spoken to any reporter about it or any reporters about supposedly what is coming out. So, I couldn't tell you," Suh said.

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Suh will likely leave Detroit when he becomes a free agent this offseason, and he likes the idea of playing in New York. But, Suh echoed his mantra about shelving contract talks -- seemingly with the Lions and with reporters -- until after the season is over.

"Honestly, I can't talk about my contract -- I'm focused on Buffalo, looking forward to playing against them and it's as simple as that," Suh said. "I'm looking forward to play against Buffalo, it's as simple as that. If you have Buffalo questions we can continue to talk, if not we don't have much to discuss."

Suh is expected to sign a giant contract, and since the Lions already have money wrapped up in quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson, they may not want to shell out a similarly dramatic amount for Suh.

"I think as a professional, no matter what, especially being a high-profile person or being a high-profile coach, whatever it may be, in a business sense you have to more or less do so many different things at so many different times," Suh said about trying to juggle his on-field life with off-the-field speculation.

Suh did, however, address the Lions' hot start and the fact that the team is in first place in the NFC North and 3-1 for the second-straight season.

"We're 3-1, it's a decent start, we have lots of room for improvement -- myself included," Suh said. "I'm looking forward to just going out there and doing what I need to do to help this team win."
