Wireless Companies Add More Data To Plans

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - AT&T and Verizon Wireless are among wireless companies which are offering promotions in this month with the double the data for the same price.

The promotions apply to both consumer and business accounts through Oct. 31, and are available on the shared plans for both companies.

Customers with monthly data allowances of between 20GB to 50GB will be able to get two times that data for the same price. These promotional offers by October 31.

AT&T's new promotional Mobile Share Value plans include double the amount of data offered on Mobile Share Value plans with 15GB to 50 GB of data.

"We're now making our simple and flexible plans a greater value by doubling the data for the same price," said David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Mobility, in a release.

Verizon Wireless customers on its MORE Everything plans can  get 15GB of data per month for $110 or 30GB of data for $130 per month.  Families on MORE Everything plans and small business customers who choose MORE Everything for Business plans can all benefit when they choose the promotion that will double their monthly data allowance.  Also, customers with monthly data allowances of between 20GB to 50GB will be able to get double the data for the same price.

"We know our customers – from families to businesses -- crave more data to help them keep up with their busy lifestyles, and these new promotions, together with other offers like our industry-leading trade- in program, give them even more during the month of October," said Ken Dixon, chief marketing officer at Verizon Wireless, in a release.
