Could A String Of Robberies In Grosse Pointe Woods Be Connected To 6 Arrested In Detroit?

GROSSE POINTE WOODS (WWJ) - A task force of east side police agencies may have made a break in a series of home invasions in Grosse Pointe Woods.

According to the online site Nixle, police arrested six people after receiving a report of a home invasion and a description of suspects. Authorities say they went to a home in Detroit where they saw the suspects taking the alleged stolen items into the home.

Additional officers were called in, and police executed a search warrant.

Investigators say they retrieved stolen property including electronics, jewelry and two additional vehicles one of which was reported to be stolen.

If charged, the six face a range of criminal offenses including home invasion and possession of stolen property which includes the stolen vehicle.

If you have any information about this or any other crime you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at their Anonymous Tip Line at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (800-773-2587).
